Abstract

 Referral schools are schools that have been fostered and have met the National Education Standards (SNP) and have developed excellent programs in line with the school's potential and community needs and have achievements in both academic and non-academic fields. This study aims to describe how the effectiveness of the referral school towards improving the quality of education in SMA N 1 Srengat. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study were residents of SMA N 1 Srengat including educators, education staff and students. Samples were taken using quota sampling totaling 50 people. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire and then processed using a percentage analysis technique. The results of the study revealed that the government's referral school program at SMA N 1 Srengat had been running effectively in tandem with the efforts to improve the quality of education. These results indicate that SMA N 1 Srengat has succeeded in improving the quality of education as an effort to help the government in the success of the referral school program. Abstract

Classroom management is one part of the substance of school management, where in the classroom students will carry out the learning process in it. A teacher in this case must be able to condition the class so that it can run in a conducive and meaningful way for students. This article was compiled with the aim of knowing how the influence given by the class in forming an accountable attitude to students. The method used in this case is descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that in forming an accountable attitude to students, a teacher must pay attention to the learning methods carried out, the learning environment, climate, class and class discipline.

Abstract

Abstract : The principal as an institutional leader has become his duty to be able to organize and manage educational institutions properly. Especially in improving the quality of the culture that will be built. Therefore, school principals are required to be creative and active in being involved in it so that they can change in improving the quality of school culture. The quality of student education culture in question is the quality of a religious education culture, namely the quality of culture that leads to a prophetic culture. This research methodology uses a naturalistic qualitative approach by developing existing data through data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed with data reduction techniques, data display, verification, and conclusions. The results showed that the principal in improving the quality of Student Education Culture was carried out in various ways. First, school institutions involve parents as institutional partners by holding nabawi parenting activities. Second, the daily monitoring book which is brought home by students every day then filled in by parents and returned to school. Keywords: leadership; quality culture; student education Abstrak: Kepala sekolah selaku pemimpin kelembagaan sudah menjadi tugasnya untuk dapat mengatur dan mengelola lembaga pendidikan dengan baik. Apalagi dalam meningkatkan kualitas budaya yang akan dibangunnya. Oleh sebab itu, kepala sekolah dituntut untuk kreatif dan aktif dalam terlibat di dalammnya supaya dapat merubah dalam meningkatkan mutu budaya sekolah. Mutu Budaya Pendidikan siswa yang dimaksud adalah mutu budaya pendidikan yang religius yakni mutu budaya yang mengarah pada budaya kenabian. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif naturalistic dengan mengembangkan data yang ada melalui tehnik pengumpulan data observasi, interview, dan dokumentasi. Lalu data dianalisis dengan tehnik reduksi data, display data, verifikasi, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu Budaya Pendidikan Siswa dilakukan dengan berbagai cara. Pertama, Lembaga sekolah melibatkan orang tua sebagai partner kelembagaan dengan mengadakan kegiatan parenting nabawi. Kedua, buku monitoring harian yang setiap hari dibawa pulang oleh siswa lalu diisi orang tua dan dikembalikan ke sekolah. Kata Kunci: kepemimpinan; budaya mutu; pendidikan siswa

Abstract

Good education financing accountability will produce quality education output. Accountability must be applied in every aspect of financing to support activities, because cost is one of the most influential elements in an educational activity. This literature reviu aims to determine strategies in the management of basic education accountability. Data collection is based on a literature study of 7 literatures ranging from 2013 to 2020. The articles were obtained by reviuing the official Google Scholar website. The results of the study indicate that the strategies that can be carried out by a basic education organization to achieve education management accountability. Good governance, wealth management, school-based management (SBM), and principal competencies.

Abstract

Manajemen pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan merupakan salah satu indikator bermutunya suatu sekolah. Meskipun pemerintah telah mengatur pengelolaan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, tetapi sekolah masih diberikan ruang untuk mengembangkannya sesuai dengan ciri khas yang ada di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan yang berbasis pada sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perencanaan yang dilakukan oleh sekolah adalah dengan menganalisis kebutuhan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan kemudian melakukan rekrutmen pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan; (2) Pengorganisasian pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di SMA Perusahaan dimulai dengan dimulai dengan penandatanganan kontrak kerja. Untuk pendidik dan tenaga pendidik baru akan dijadikan pegawai honor, jika kinerjanya bagus akan dijadikan pegawai kontrak, sedangkan tenaga kontrak yang kinerjanya bagus, akan diangkat menjadai pegawai tetap; (3) Pelaksanaan pengembangan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan. Proses pengembangannya melalui penilaian hasil kerja tahunan, rotasi/mutasi jabatan, kenaikan jabatan dan kenaikan golongan, pengisian jabatan, pelatihan dan pendidikan, Career Development Program dan penugasan organisasi ekstra lainnya; (4) Pengawasan manajemen pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di SMA Perusahaan diimplementasikan melalui pemberian penghargaan, penegakan disiplin, dan evaluasi kerja.

Abstract

The leadership type of a school principal has a significant role in improving teacher performance and the learning process in schools. This study aims to find out how the principal's leadership type influences the performance of SMPS Barunawati Surabaya teachers. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were tested for credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of the study show that the principal's leadership in efforts to improve teacher performance in generally good. Teacher performance at SMPS Barunawati Surabaya was observed based on teacher competence. Principal leadership is democratic and has made efforts to improve teacher competency through improving pedagogic, personality, social, professional, discipline, providing motivation, organizing and completing infrastructure, giving appropriate assignments and awards to teachers. This type of principal leadership can increase the commitment and skills of teachers in carrying out their duties.

Abstract

Work readiness can be thought of as the extent to which individuals have the attitudes and skills needed to be successful in their job. This study aims to explore the factors that can influence students’ work readiness. Data collected from 64 Bidikmisi scholarship recipients were analyzed using factor analysis. The results confirmed that the five proposed dimensions were reduced to two factors. The first factor consists of three dimensions namely maturity level, mental and emotional state, and self-development efforts. The second factor consists of two dimensions namely previous experience and intelligence level. Implications of the findings are discussed and future research opportunities are suggested.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) planning, 2) organizing, 3) implementation, 4) monitoring of religious culture, achievement, and care for the environment. This research is a qualitative research with a case study type. The research location is at SMA YPVDP Bontang. Research informants included school principals, vice principals, teachers, students, and parents. Collecting data using interview techniques, observation and document study. Data analysis uses an interactive model which includes condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the research are: 1) Planning is done before the new school year. The program is planned through environmental analysis that is adjusted to the school's vision and mission. Then make an activity plan and composition of the committee. The activity plan is discussed with the entire teacher council; 2) Organizing is done by selecting coordinators and committees. The coordinator provides facilities and infrastructure and schedules activities; 3) Implementation is carried out by instilling beliefs and assumptions in all school members about the importance of the program. The school gives awards to school members who carry out activities well. Making posters and slogans is intended to increase the motivation of school members; 4) Supervision is carried out by the school principal, vice principal, and activity coordinator. Supervision is carried out to obtain supporting and inhibiting data as well as any efforts made so that the implementation of the culture can run well.

Abstract

High school/vocational school students are in a transitional phase towards greater independence and responsibility, so it is important to have a strong traffic safety character. The school security patrol extracurricular in high schools/vocational schools has an important role in shaping the traffic safety character of students. The integration of traffic safety character education with school security patrol extracurriculars in high schools/vocational schools is proposed with an integration model. Modeling refers to a character education management scheme with 18 indicators in 6 schools in 4 regions with data collection using surveys and questionnaires. The resulting traffic safety character is included in the category that is still not good. The proposed integration model applies the design of the assisted school with adjustments to raw input, transformation, instrumental input, environmental input and output. The integration model is carried out by making collaborative actions between stakeholders to achieve excellent traffic safety characteristics at the high school/vocational school level.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) issued an Independent Learning policy in order to achieve quality education for all Indonesian people. Quality education focuses on developing basic competencies and character to ensure students progress in learning so that they are more competent and have character. One of the Independent Learning policies that have been launched is the Educational Report platform. The Educational Report Platform that was launched, is a platform that provides data on reports on the results of the evaluation of the education system as an improvement on previous quality report platform. This research is a descriptive qualitative study to examine how the newly launched Indonesian Educational Report platform can be utilized in data-based education planning so that the planning carried out can be more targeted and the quality of education can be improved. The results of the study have shown that the use of Educational Report in data-based planning is a tool and a way to identify root causes, reflect on educational achievements, and become a material for constructive discussions with various education stakeholders to improve the quality of education.
